Record visitor numbers at opening night of Life Instyle trade fair
[Tue 16/03/2010 01:21:00]
Life Instyle has announced record visitation figures for the opening day of its boutique trade fair, which was held from February 25 to 28 at the Royal Hall of Industries and the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney's Entertainment Quarter.
A total of 1,747 visitors walked through the doors on Life Instyle's opening day, many of whom enjoyed the canapés and champagne reception that evening.
Of this number, 5,600 leading buyers, retailers, stylists and media personnel attended the trade show over the four days it was held.
"The philosophy behind the Life Instyle trade event is to bring beautiful products together under one roof for visitors to discover," says event founder and director Thibaud Cau-Cecile.
"We carefully select each exhibitor and present them in a setting that compliments their style."
Life Instyle also recorded an increase in international attendance with 175 visitors travelling to the trade show from New Zealand and additional buyers and media figures visiting from Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, France, the UK and the US.
Exhibiting parallel to Life Instyle's 179 stands was the Kids Instyle show, which included 104 exhibitors with products for children, babies and parents.
"The Sydney 2010 Kids Instyle show was a runaway success, showcasing the very best fashion and lifestyle products in the kids market," says event director Claire Cau-Cecile.
"On display in Sydney was Kids Instyle's signature balance of innovative and contemporary kids' homewares and fashion as well as featuring classic brands of style and design."
Held in conjunction with the show, the First Instyle exhibition space featured the work of 28 emerging designers who have been in the industry for less than two years, and helped them network with retailers and buyers from Australia and beyond.
