b.box for kids wins Best New Product at 2010 Australian Business Awards
[Wed 28/07/2010 08:46:06]
Designed by Dannielle Michaels and Monique Filer, the essential baby box by b.box for kids, a compact nappy wallet, has been awarded the Best New Product at the 2010 Australian Business Awards.
The baby box differentiates itself from many other products available on the market by virtue of its 100 per cent recyclable plastic and the built-in refillable wipes compartment.
“We started the business three years ago, after travelling with a newborn,” says Michaels, explaining the origins of the essential baby box.
“Ever tried changing a nappy in an airline cubicle? Mission impossible. So we started to look for a solution that gave us everything we needed for a quick nappy change at our fingertips, without much success, and so b.box was born.”
The essential baby box holds nappies and baby wipes and comes with a changing mat that can be wiped clean and folded up to fit neatly inside the compact compartment.
Available in six colours and designs, essential baby boxes hit the market one year ago and are now available in over 250 national stockists and in more than 13 countries.
“We are overwhelmed by the response we’ve had to our brand and this award is an exciting way to cap off our first 12 months on the market,” say Michaels and Filer.
“To be selected from 78 entries in the best new product category is a fantastic achievement. It also validates our passion and commitment to creating innovative, affordable and practical baby essentials that fill a gap in the market and make parents’ lives that little bit easier.”
