Villeroy & Boch unveils new e-shop
[Tue 14/09/2010 04:37:15]
Ralph Edele, international retail manager of Villeroy & Boch’s global stable of stores, has travelled to Australia for the relaunch of the company’s new e-shop, which was unveiled at 4pm on Tuesday September 14.
“We are relaunching the Australian e-shop as part of our global relaunching of the whole e-shop business,” Edele explains.
“E-shops are a strategic part of our retailing strategy and the Australian e-shop is actually the first non-German speaking e-shop.”
The new e-shop will represent a greater synergy with Villeroy & Boch’s existing stores and closer reference the values and presence of the iconic brand.
“The idea is to have a closer connection to our bricks and mortar shops, to get a closer link, have a multi-channel approach and get an e-shop that reflects the strengths of the brand much more than the current one does from a look and feel point of view and a brand values perspective,” Edele says.
While the overall design of the new e-shop does not differ from region to region, Villeroy & Boch’s online stores will cater to local market differences, while upholding a universal approach to the brand’s look and feel.
“The general structure will not differ at all. We are an international brand and we want to look and feel the same all over the world, so for all our customers who see Villeroy & Boch – whether it’s in an e-shop, a store or with a wholesale partner – we come across the same way,” Edele says.
Villeroy & Boch was established centuries ago in the village of Audun-le-Tiche in the Duchy of Lorraine when Francois Boch began manufacturing ceramic tableware.
Today, it has grown to become one of the finest producers of ceramic homewares, tableware and bathroom products and is internationally well renowned.
