kikki.K opens store at Changi Airport

[Thu 14/10/2010 09:07:12]

International fashion stationery label kikki.K will open its third store in Asia next month at Changi International Airport as part of the redevelopment of Terminal 2.

kikki.K opened its first boutique in Asia 12 months ago on Singapore’s famed Orchard Road, attracting more than 20,000 visitors in its opening week and over 700,000 passed through the doors in the first 12 months.

Founder Kristina Karlsson, currently a finalist in the 2010 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, says she can’t wait to visit the new Changi Airport store.

“It’s so exciting to be opening a boutique at one of Asia’s most prominent shopping destinations,” she says.

“With over 37 million passengers annually, this opening will take us closer to achieving our vision of having something kikki.K in every stylish life, the world over.

“Our focus has always been global and the response we’ve had from Asian consumers reaffirms the opportunity ahead of us.”

Swedish born Karlsson founded kikki.K in Melbourne in 2001 and the concept of ‘delicious’ stationery, gorgeous gifts and Swedish design quickly redefined the stationery market, earning a cult-like following among the fashion, design and stationery conscious.
