In search of the next young retailer

[Tue 10/05/2011 01:14:38]

The National Retail Association (NRA) is calling retailers for nominations for the Young Retailer of the Year Award.

The NRA Young Retailer of the Year competition has been a part of retail history for 38 years. It provides a national platform to recognise and reward excellence amongst young retailers under the age of 25, and promotes retailing as a career of choice for young people.

This competition typically attracts more than 100 entries from young retail professionals employed by retailers including Myer, Target, Woolworths, Coles, Country Road, Supercheap Auto, The Rebel Group, The Reject Shop, Toys R Us and Dick Smith.

The National Retail Association Young Retailer of the Year for 2010 was awarded to Kaylee Albronda, a 21-year-old Myer management trainee from Melbourne.

"Winning the 2010 NRA Young Retailer of the Year Award was both a fantastic learning experience and an honour to be recognised in an industry that I am passionate about. To be the national representative for young retailers is a privilege,” she said.
