Villa Mondo to distribute pink ribbon soaps in Australia

Gianna Rose Atelier has launched a limited edition collection of soaps, Savon Pour Le Remede, which will be distributed locally by Villa Mondo, to help support breast cancer awareness.
The ornate, hand pressed gift box contains four French-milled soaps scented with fresh linen and made with natural botanical extracts and nurturing emollients, embossed with the pink ribbon.
Villa Mondo is supplying the product to the Australian market as part of its ongoing relationship with Gianna Rose Atelier, but the cause also has a personal connection.
“We just think it’s a great cause and there are many people that have been affected and in particular I guess Wendy’s (Fry, national sales manager) mother was actually affected so it’s just something that’s close to Wendy’s heart,” says brand and marketing manager Melina Fromm.
The wholesaler has chosen to donate part proceeds to The Think Pink Foundation, which offers financial and emotional support to breast cancer patients such as help to pay bills.
“We have donated to them in the past and we have donated product to [their] annual masquerade ball every year and so we just decided because we already had an established relationship we would continue that,” explains Fromm.
“It is a different charity as it doesn’t necessarily go into the research of breast cancer but it actually helps people deal with all of the other problems, bills coming in, how their lives are going to be changing by having breast cancer… So they actually raise money to help the patients that come through in regards to their standard of living and that sort of thing.”
The soaps are available in time for Mother’s Day.
