High expectations for Reed Gift Fairs Sydney

Reed Gift Fairs' Sydney February show is expected to attract just as many visitors as last year if not more according to its exhibition director.
Stephen Steenson will oversee his first national fair since taking over the job from Omer Soker, who was promoted to group exhibition director November last year.
He says the Melbourne February show has set a positive mood in the industry and the outlook looks good for the Sydney show.
"We would anticipate we are on par with previous years and that's with the platform being set in Melbourne," he explains. "We've got high expectations that we're going to also overdeliver."
The recently released poor December sales figures are forecast to have little impact on the success of the event.
"Our goal is always to deliver the best quality visitors or buyers so at the end of the day it's great to have more and more people, but as long as the right people are coming and the right people are there to make purchases and buck the trends being publicly thrown around the place as we did in Melbourne."
Buyers can look forward to key wholesalers returning with bigger and better stands as well as hundreds of new products.
"No two shows are ever the same so we may have a front of house that looks similar and we may have differences in our seminar content and our Road to Success campaigns, we may have new social media messaging and involvement with all players, but at the end of the day the core result is what happens on the floor and it's always revolving and something that changes as time goes on," he adds.
