Lisa Pollock extends product range into apparel

[Thu 23/02/2012 11:06:17]

Art from the Heart by Lisa Pollock designs can now be found on t-shirts after customers demanded the brand increase its product offering.

The business has teamed up with printing and manufacturing company Lifestyle Australia to produce the shirts which feature best seller Blue Dragonfly and new design summer frangipani.

“Their shirts aren’t thin,” says Kellie Simkin, business development manager for Art from the heart by Lisa Pollock. “They’re nice quality but their printing is outstanding – they’ve just won a big printing award for quality of image onto apparel, so their quality of printing, the technology they use is the best you can get in Australia. There are a lot of t-shirt companies but their printing is second to none and they do it all in house.”

Blue Dragonfly was chosen for the project because of its timeless style and popularity, but it also links with the range of stationery and homewares recently released by Gibson Importing.

Other t-shirt designs can be created to tie in with local attractions such – as the shirt Lisa Pollock has designed for Underwater World in Queensland – and Simkin believes this will help fill the gap in the market for quality, stylish souvenirs especially women’s t-shirts which are often only made using a shapeless style. The shirts are available up to size 18.

“It’s got a shorter sleeve but enough to cover up the bits we want to hide and then it comes in at the side, so it’s not just straight up and down like a lot of ladies shirts. Especially in the souvenir industry they’re really a men’s shirt and they don’t have any shape to them.

“It’s a nice shape that comes in at the sides and it’s a V but it’s more of a scalloped V, which is really flattering for all sizes,” she explains. “Just something that is nice on all women. You don’t need to be a supermodel to look good in this shirt.”

The shirts can be seen at the Home & Giving Fair as worn by Art from the Heart by Lisa Pollock team.
